Job Summary
The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing assigned resident care area, administrative, rehabilitation areas, and visitor areas in a long-term care facility licensed for 192 beds.
Responsibilities

- JANITORIAL DUTIES: Perform a variety of cleaning tasks...
- CHEMICAL/BIOHAZARDOUS DUTIES: Collect and transport biohazardous waste...
- REMOVE SPOTS, SPILLAGE, AND SPRAY BUFF FLOORS: Check all residents' floor...
- SPOT CLEAN AND SANITIZE: Spot clean and sanitize walls...
- TERMINAL CLEAN UNITS: Terminal clean units when residents are discharged...
- OTHER: Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized state or federal accrediting organization.
OR
One year of experience in a similar position in a commercial, hospital or industrial environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in environmental cleaning, particularly in a healthcare environment.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE Ability to interact positively with the elderly population.
SKILLS Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work well in a team environment.
Ability to perform to established standards.
Ability to follow oral instructions and written procedures.
Ability to prioritize work to provide a clean environment and promote resident, staff and visitor safety.

Shift: Days/M-F
Pay Band: B1
Salary: Minimum: $15.00/hour
