Job Description:
Hiring multiple per diem Event Assistants
This position would be for per diem event work (nights and weekends) such as:
- Tours of the rental space
- Photo shoots on the grounds and Ochre Court
- Day of Wedding / Event coordinator
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Event Execution:
- Oversee the timeline and ensure all scheduled activities occur on time (e.g., ceremony, reception, speeches, etc.).
Vendor Coordination:
- Communicate with vendors (e.g., caterers, florists, photographers) to confirm arrival times, setup, and services.
Problem-Solving:
- Address and resolve any last-minute issues or emergencies that arise during the event.
Guest Assistance:
- Provide guidance and support to guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and informed.
Setup and Breakdown:
- Supervise the setup of decorations, seating arrangements, and other event elements; ensure proper cleanup post-event.
Communication:
- Act as the main point of contact for the couple, family, and vendors to streamline communication and reduce stress.
Requirements:
Required:
- Available to work nights and weekends as needed for events
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines simultaneously.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and guests effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Quick thinking and adaptability to handle unexpected challenges.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure every element of the event aligns with the client's vision.
- Calm Under Pressure: Maintain composure in high-stress situations.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with vendors and event staff to ensure seamless execution.
Preferred:
- Prior event coordination or hospitality experience, especially in weddings, photo shoots, or formal events.
- Experience working with vendors (e.g., caterers, florists, photographers).
- Knowledge of event timelines and logistics management.
- Familiarity with the venue or historic properties (if applicable, e.g., Ochre Court).
- Customer service background in a client-facing or service-oriented role.
- CPR/First Aid certification or emergency response experience (optional but valuable).
