Job Summary/Basic Function
This role has the responsibility to coordinate, manage, implement and quality-check BSOM programs and events. Additionally, this role will work and collaborate with various university departments, and support the work of BSOM student groups.
The person in this role will have broad responsibility to work in concert with all members of the Offices of Student Affairs, Admissions, and Student Success. The expectation will be to collaborate with various entities across campus, including but not limited to Advancement, Marketing, Student Employment, Student Orgs and more.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree and three (3) years of experience in event planning, project management, or related fields or Bachelor's Degree and five (5) years of experience in event planning, project management, or related fields.
- Must be a focused, detail-orientated person with exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of populations, including students at various stages of education, physicians, faculty, administrators, alumni, and volunteers.
- Able to work occasional evenings and weekends, in support of special BSOM events and medical student professional development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an educational environment.
- Ability to independently plan, organize, and operationalize enhancement strategies to improve services provided to BSOM students.
- Superior strategic coordination skills.
- Prior administrative experience with professional student development.
- Experience with Qualtrics, Microsoft 365 suite, and a working understanding of AI incorporation into various projects.
Essential Functions and percent of time

- Management, planning, and implementation of all BSOM events, both annual/recurring and new initiatives, off and on campus. These events include, but are not limited to, commencement, convocation, orientation week, Match Day, awards ceremonies, wellness programing, etc.
- Collaboration with appropriate University and BSOM departments will be expected, to ensure successful events.
- Work alongside key stakeholders in OSAA to manage event budgets as well as logistics for multiple, simultaneous events, to include scouting locations, selection of food, advertising events, engaging staff and cleanup protocols.

- Responsible for the Office of Student Affairs & Admissions front desk management and daily operations.
- Hire, supervise and train student-workers to provide excellent customer service at the front desk of OSAA, which serves all students, prospective students, faculty, staff, and community members.

- Oversee and manage BSOM student organizations and interest groups.
- Serve as the primary touch-point for BSOM students looking to start, join, or get information about organizations and interest groups.
- Responsible for annual training of student leaders, and habitually keep the list of active and inactive groups up-to-date.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
