Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Executive Centre Assistant to join QUT Graduate School of Business, Faculty of Business and Law.

You will play a key role in creating seamless experiences for executive participants, partners, and stakeholders while supporting the smooth operation of high-profile programs and events.

The Graduate School of Business (GSB) is responsible for the design and delivery of transformative postgraduate degrees and non-award executive education programs for the Faculty of Business and Law. The GSB portfolio of programs is acclaimed by graduates, employers, and rankings and international accreditation agencies, including the Australian Financial Review, AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB. Programs include transdisciplinary business courses such as the highly ranked and rated Master of Business Administration (MBA) suite, which includes Executive MBA and Online MBA degrees. The GSB also designs and delivers customised client awards such as the Graduate Certificate in Business (Public Sector Management) – a degree that is offered nationally to public sector leaders and managers within local, state, and federal government agencies.

What you need to succeed

  1. Education, training and/or relevant work experience equivalent to the completion of an associate diploma with relevant experience in a hospitality or event support role.
  2. Demonstrated attention to detail in the provision of quality client service and the ability to work productively, self-manage and take initiative to complete tasks in an independent environment.
  3. Demonstrated willingness to maintain a very high standard of cleanliness and operational readiness of the Executive Education Centre
  4. High level and professional interpersonal skills and a proven ability to effectively communicate with participants, clients, suppliers and University staff in the provision of professional quality client service.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a client-focused team and to develop harmonious and collaborative working relationships with colleagues and clients.
  6. Demonstrated competent computer skills, particularly in MS Office, the use of corporate systems and a willingness to assist in the identification and resolution of audio visual and information technology programs.
