Extension Agent 1

Tennessee State University invites applications for the position of Extension Agent 1.

This position is based at the Bradley County Extension office, in Cleveland, Tennessee. The extension agent is responsible to the County Director for administrative and program matters. The agent will spend 100% of their time with adult agriculture programs.

Duties include:

• Plan, execute, evaluate and report on Adult Agriculture programs and activities
• Engage in site and farm visits, phone calls, workshops, newsletters, media, etc.
• Assist clientele with decisions in marketing their product
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with education officials, related agencies, community groups, elected and appointed officials, and the general public
• Assume other duties as necessary due to vacancies or as assigned by the County Extension Director, Program Leader or TSU Associate Dean of Extension
• Conduct programs and activities that meet the needs of eligible participants.
