FACULTY FELLOW IN ASIAN/PACIFIC/AMERICAN STUDIES

The Department of Social and Cultural Analysis invites applications for a Faculty Fellow in Asian/Pacific/American Studies, with an initial appointment of one year beginning September 1, 2026, and the expectation of annual renewal for two additional years, subject to pending budgetary and administrative approval.
The successful candidate should hold a PhD in any field or discipline related to Asian/Pacific/American Studies, and we especially encourage scholars who focus on trans-regional and interdisciplinary approaches to Asian American and/or Pacific World studies to apply. Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. no earlier than five years before the date of appointment and have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. The teaching load will be three courses per annum.
The Department of Social and Cultural Analysis is an interdisciplinary department committed to developing innovative approaches in urbanism, migration, critical racial, ethnic and indigenous studies, gender and sexuality, art, culture, politics, and economic life. The Department has degree programs in Africana Studies, American Studies, Asian/Pacific/American Studies, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Latinx Studies, Urban Studies, and Social and Cultural Analysis.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position is $60,000.
