Faculty - Natural Resources Technology
Job Description
This is an unlimited, part-time position with a guaranteed 0.75FTE (24 credits). Activities related to college teaching and learning in the Natural Resources field, including but not limited to the duties listed below:
- Instructional planning, teaching, learning, and evaluating associate degree students in the classroom.
- Instructional facilitation.
- Assessment of student performance.
- Student recruitment, retention, and advising.
- Maintenance of professional skills and credentials.
- Work closely with department to maintain and enhance curriculum and assess program outcomes.
- Participation in department meetings, coordination activities, curriculum development, and college-wide committees.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in natural resources, fish and wildlife, forest resources, or forestry technology, or a bachelor degree with a minimum of 24 semester credits in natural resources, fish and wildlife, forest resources or forestry technology.
Three full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in forestry, fisheries, or wildlife.
One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

- Experience using teaching techniques that support diverse learning styles.
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of instructional technology, including online course delivery.
- Ability to work independently, while also functioning in a team atmosphere.
