8:00am - 4:30pm (summer)

Job Description:
This position holder provides administrative and clerical support to the faculty at the College of Law. The role is essential to assist faculty in fulfilling their teaching, research, scholarship, and professional goals which, in turn, impacts the educational experience of the students, the institution, and the legal profession.
This position is part of a bargaining unit and is represented by the union SEIU, Local 200United.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Experience in higher education preferred, or 3-5 years of working in an administrative support environment in higher education.
Skills and Knowledge:
- High level of problem-solving skills, attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Initiative to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to be flexible and manage a fluctuating workload, manage multiple projects
- Confidence to handle sensitive information
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Experience with event planning and clerical duties is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to faculty members to assist with their teaching, scholarship and committee work at the College and University level and for Professional Organizations including prepare, update, and maintain course materials on Blackboard ensuring they are accessible documents.
- Proofread course syllabi.
- Assist in preparation of mid-term and final examinations.
- Coordinate collection of student papers for grading and return of student papers that have been graded.
- Maintain attendance records.
- Assist faculty with correspondence and letters of recommendation.
- Maintain files both electronically and on paper, as needed.
- Printing and scanning for faculty.
- Manage and distribute mail daily.
- Support scheduling for make-up classes, meetings, review sessions, lectures.
- Assist with preparations for major events such as conferences and guest speaker engagements.
- Arrange travel logistics for faculty, guest speakers, including expense tracking and reconciliation.
- Coordinate with Parking Services, Catering and Facilities to ensure smooth event organization for faculty and guests.
- Prepare and reconcile pro-card travel, track expenses for faculty activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with budgetary guidelines.
- Follow processes for travel vouchers, ID requests, and purchase requisitions.
- Cross- train with Deans Office, including assisting with administering Course Evaluations during the Fall, Spring and Summer Semesters.
- Other duties as assigned.
