Family Nurse Practitioner
Job Summary
The University of Colorado College of Nursing is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE), benefitted Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide integrated primary care at the Community Health Clinic (CHC) on the Anschutz Medical Campus. This is a clinic-based faculty position within the IRC-Clinical Series, Clinical Practice Track that combines direct patient care with clinical precepting and leadership/service responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Serves as a primary care provider for the clinic's patient population.
- Performs comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and consultation.
- Performs outpatient primary care procedures within scope of practice.
- Maintains procedural competency and adheres to evidence-based practice standards, documentation requirements, and informed consent processes.
- Completes clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Functions as a clinical preceptor for advanced practice nursing students.
- Actively participates in clinic marketing, outreach, and patient recruitment efforts.
Work Location
Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located at our Community Health Clinic in Aurora, Colorado.
