Position Details:
The Opportunity:
As the Financial Aid Advisor (Bilingual) with Student Financial Services you serve as the primary point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and parents, providing day-to-day advising and support. In this role, you coordinate study abroad financial aid processing and assist Spanish-speaking students and families with questions related to financial aid and scholarships. Your programmatic responsibilities may include making award adjustments, exercising professional judgment, and conducting needs analyses. As a bilingual coordinator, you also support recruitment, retention advising, and outreach efforts.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary:
Student Services Professional: $3,379.14 - $4,120.91 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications
Student Services Coordinator/Advisor 1: $3,750.85 - $4,574.21 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

The successful candidate will begin as either a Student Services Coordinator/Advisor 1 or Student Services Professional depending on their level of experience.
Required Qualifications:
Student Services Professional:
- Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of professional work experience in student services. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Student Services Coordinator/Advisor 1
- Positions require a Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
For All Applicants:
- Bilingual/Bi-literate (Spanish-English).
- Experience in customer service.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Developed skills in written and verbal communication, including experience with large group presentations.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including occasional weekends/evenings.
- Demonstrated experience interpreting rules and regulations.
- Demonstrated experience working in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications for all:
- Master's Degree.
- Experience with PeopleSoft.
- Experience with student services in a higher education setting such as Financial Aid, Scholarships, Admissions, Student Accounts, Academic Advising, Registrar, Graduate School, Athletics, and/or Housing and Dining.
