Job Summary	This position provides assistance to students and families in person, over the phone, and through email as well as assisting office staff.

Essential Duties

The Financial Aid Student Assistant is responsible for:

• Using an imaging system to scan and link documents to student accounts
• Providing assistance to students and families with completing financial aid applications and forms
• Assisting students in the financial aid computer lab
• Answering phones and emails
• Assisting financial aid staff with specific processes and projects as needed
• Other duties that may be assigned.

Required Qualifications

• MWSU Student
• Degree Seeking
• At least an overall 2.0 GPA
• Enrolled at least part-time
• Must be eligible for Federal Work Study

• Self motivated, independent worker who also works well with others
• Organized
• Strong attention to detail
• Willingness and ability to learn new programs
• Able to work a set schedule each week.

Physical Demands

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
