Job Description
The UF Health Cancer Institute is the 72nd NCI designated cancer center and the only one at a public university in the State of Florida. As a matrix cancer center, we span all of the University of Florida's 16 colleges, pulling together a world-class, multi-disciplinary membership of over 350 faculty and 150 staff to address the challenges of the cancer burden faced by the population we serve as we work together to find a cure.
As a Fiscal Assistant at the UF Health Cancer Institute (UFHCI), you will be responsible for maintaining timely and accurate financial processing, compliance with University policies, and support of ongoing fiscal activities across UFHCI divisions. A high level of professionalism and confidentiality is necessary for success in this role.
In your new role you will be responsible for the following:
- Process and support a variety of financial transactions, including purchasing, payments, and account activity
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial documentation in accordance with Center, College, and University policies
- Communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and support teams to resolve financial and payment-related issues
- Generate and review financial reports to support tracking, reconciliation, and decision-making
- Maintain and update financial data across systems to ensure data integrity
- Provide support, troubleshooting, and guidance on financial processes, escalating issues as appropriate
