Job Description Summary
Santa Fe College is proud to offer wellness services and programs at the SF Fitness Center to all of the campus community, including students, faculty, and staff. The Fitness Center has an array of equipment and services suitable for everyone, ranging from the experienced athlete to those just exploring their fitness options and is open 6:30am-8:30pm, Monday-Friday.
The student employee will assist and provide front desk support to staff and visitors at the Fitness Center on the Northwest campus.
Must be available from 1:00pm – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday.
Start Date: January 6th, 2025
Must be enrolled in classes for Spring 2025 to apply.
Job Description
Responsibilities and Duties Include:
- Provides a professional, helpful, and welcoming atmosphere by greeting, responding to, checking in, and directing visitors at the Fitness Center.
- Provides some front-line level of resolution to questions or concerns while making appropriate referrals as necessary.
- Understands, follows, and enforces the Fitness Center rules and procedures.
- Follows all Fitness Center cleaning and disinfecting protocols.
- Regularly picks up equipment, assesses rooms for cleanliness, and reports any issues to the Fitness Center Manager.
- Provides general administrative support to the Athletic department.
- Strictly honors the privacy and security of student records and other sensitive information according to appropriate state, federal and college regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Complies with all published College Rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws/regulations governing public employees, including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction, FERPA, and confidentiality.
- Provides service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Reports to: Fitness Center Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
Required: Must be a currently enrolled Santa Fe College student, in good academic standing, taking six (6) or more credit hours.
Additional Requirements: A criminal background check will be conducted. Must maintain a 2.5 GPA.

- Multi-task - Ability to expeditiously organize, coordinate, manage, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously to swiftly assess a situation, determine a logical course of action, and apply the appropriate response.
