  • Work to sustain and expand bilingual training pathways that prepare culturally responsive clinicians for underserved Latinx communities.
  • Advise and mentor bilingual-track students in academic progression, practicum readiness, and professional identity development.
  • Engage with community partners, clinical sites, and professional networks to strengthen bilingual training opportunities.

Advising and Student Success

  • Implement strategies that promote retention, belonging, and academic progress among first-generation, bilingual, and historically underrepresented graduate students.
  • Advise students regarding practicum site selection, clinical hour progression, and California BBS regulatory requirements.

Scholarship and Professional Engagement

  • Maintain an active program of scholarship consistent with tenure-track expectations, including research, publications, and professional presentations.
  • Pursue scholarship aligned with counseling psychology education, clinician formation, bilingual practice, social justice leadership, or culturally responsive pedagogy.
  • Mentor graduate students in research and professional development activities.

Service

  • Participate in departmental, school, and university governance and service commitments.
  • Attend program faculty meetings and contribute to collaborative problem-solving, program events, and community-building initiatives.
  • Engage with professional organizations relevant to counseling psychology, marriage and family therapy, and bilingual clinical training.
