General Maintenance Supervisor
Job Summary
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the General Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the overall management of TCC building maintenance and ensuring work is done in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Performance Requirements*
- Performs tasks related to the management of building maintenance and repairs, ensuring work is done in a timely and cost-efficient manner
- Inspects work, monitors, schedules, performs evaluations, and meets with assigned maintenance staff on a regular basis
- Evaluates existing buildings and areas and provides advice and estimates for changes or repairs
- Works with contractors and vendors to obtain bids and quotes to supply services or product to the district
- Maintains work orders, records and reports
- Coordinates with construction services, grounds, plant personnel, and the learning community and meets with end users on a regular basis
Service Excellence
- Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
- Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
- Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision
Works under the general supervision of the Facilities Manager
*Performs Other Related Tasks as Required

Required Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree or 60 college hours and five (5) years related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications
Current CAD license
At least one (1) completed course in blue print reading
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships
Skilled using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
Ability to work and communicate effectively in a collaborative environment

Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
