Reporting to the Director of Sport, this key leadership role is responsible for driving the strategic direction and operational excellence of the Bond University Rugby Club. The General Manager will lead the development and execution of initiatives that enhance the clubās performance, visibility, and community engagement, while aligning with the Universityās broader sport objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of strategic plans, policies, and partnerships to grow and promote the Rugby Club.
- Provide leadership and support to staff, ensuring high-quality delivery of sport services and programs.
- Collaborate with senior management and external stakeholders to achieve sport department goals.
- Champion community engagement and contribute to the growth and success of Bondās sports programs.
This position plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of sport at Bond University, fostering a culture of excellence, and promoting the Universityās mission through sport.
About the person
Youāre a strategic and experienced leader with a strong background in rugby and sports management. You bring a collaborative mindset, operational expertise, and a passion for driving sporting excellence.
Key Attributes:
- Proven leadership in senior sports roles, ideally within rugby or university sport.
- Strong knowledge of rugby industry trends and regulations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Skilled in team leadership, project delivery, and budget management.
- Creative thinker with a track record of building successful partnerships.
Salary details
Level and salary will be negotiated and commensurate with skills and experience and be fully competitive in the Australian market. Salary packaging options are available for eligible employees.
