Global Affairs Specialist
Description of Work:
Assist Global Affairs leadership with administrative responsibilities. Responsible for general office management for the Office of Global Affairs, including scheduling and planning events, trainings, and meetings. Serve as primary manager of the Global Education Center spaces, including engagement with ITS and Building Systems Maintenance. Possess and utilize knowledge of administrative and fiscal best practices to interpret UNL policies and procedures and assist the Assistant Vice Chancellor and Director of Global Partnerships & Initiatives in implementation. Handle all purchasing for the Global Partnerships & Initiatives office, including serving as P-card holder. Manage e-shop, processing invoices, and purchase orders. Coordinate travel arrangements as needed, prepare pre-trip authorization requests, and post trip expense vouchers. Provide high-level, detail-focused logistical support for international visitors and delegations, including agenda preparation, reservations, and hosting support. Assist with the preparation and compilation of reports, briefing materials, presentations, and proposals. Support communications and storytelling efforts by drafting, editing, and organizing content that highlights global programs, partnerships, initiatives, and student engagement activities. Coordinate processes related to the review, circulation, and approval of international agreements and memoranda of understanding to ensure timely and accurate execution. Provide general project support for key initiatives undertaken by Global Affairs.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and two years of related administrative/office-setting/customer service experience; equivalent education/experience considered.
- Proficiency with computer software and university cloud computing systems, including SharePoint, Adobe, and Microsoft Office products is necessary.
- Excellent customer service essential.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Significant attention to detail required.
- Ability to make sound judgments and maintain discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.
- Must possess a strong student-centered philosophy and the ability to work effectively as a team member.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with UNL, including general policies and procedures
- SAP Knowledge
- Previous experience in a higher education environment.
- Experience working with international students and scholars.
Posted Salary:
$23.827/hr minimum
