Job Description:
The graduate assistant works in conjunction with the Admissions office in all aspects of recruiting and building relationships with prospective students.
Responsibilities for Graduate Assistant, Admissions:
Specific Responsibilities:
Include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in recruiting prospective students and supporting enrollment initiatives for Manhattanville.
- Maintains frequent communication with prospective and admitted students by phone, email, virtually, while aiding the admission and enrollment process.
- Assist with on campus and virtual events, including high school group visits, open houses, and other recruitment events.
- Utilizes and maintains the Customer Relation Management System.
- Working knowledge of academic programs, admissions requirements, and overall Manhattanville information.
- Works collaboratively with various departments on campus to support enrollment goals.
- Give admissions presentations and speak with prospective students when necessary.
- Performs other duties as necessary to support the Admissions office.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Enrolled in a graduate program at Manhattanville
- Excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable vehicle
Qualifications:
- Experience in admissions, higher education, customer experience, recruitment, or sales
- Customer Service Relation Management System (CRM) experience
- Marketing background, academic or professional
- Website maintenance experience
- Search engine optimization experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree Required
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects.
- Organizing, transporting, and setting up materials and displays at recruiting events
Salary:
Tution Remission (6 credits per term - Fall, Spring, Summer)
Hours Expectation:
Part-time, average load of 20 hours per week over the duration of the appointment period
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, overnights and weekends.
Travel to Admissions events as assigned
