The Medical College of Georgia is one of the nations largest medical schools... Our physician faculty also share their expertise with physicians and patients at about 100 clinics and hospitals statewide.

Job Summary

The Grant Program Manager has primary responsibility for managing funds under the care of the Research Section including General Ledger, Sponsored Project, and Foundation funds. This position manages the daily operations of the research team... The Grant Program Manager conducts performance management activities with the research staff.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Funds Management

Ensure fiscal responsibility and compliance... managing funds transfer, troubleshooting and correction of posted expenditure as needed.

Analyze and Prepare Budget Forecasts for Section & Projects

Communicate financial position and projection... manage development of proposal and actual budgets for sponsored projects and Foundation gifts.

Labor Distribution/Effort Distribution

Manage labor schedules... Maintain and advise PI/PD/DFCM Managers on employee FTE projections...

Sponsored Projects Management

Pre-award: Manage proposal development... Post-award: Manage sponsored project portfolio...

Other Duties

Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university combined with five years of relevant experience, preferably in a healthcare management and budget management capacity.
OR
Master's degree from an accredited college or university combined with three years of relevant experience, preferably in a healthcare management and budget management capacity.

Required Experience

Experience in grant writing and securing grant funding.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Detail-oriented
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases

Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days/M-F (work outside of the normal business hours will likely be required...)
Pay Band: 13
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications...
