The position of Grant and Contract Officer assists principal investigators, project managers, and faculty members by providing knowledge and expertise on proposal and budget preparation, contract and subcontracting negotiations, and rules and regulations of state, federal, and other sponsoring agencies...
Responsibilities
- Provide institutional oversight to sponsored project submissions and awards...
- Authorize submissions when applications are compliant...
- Provide leadership and training regarding the administrative requirements...
- Coordinate with Post Award to develop fiscal and programmatic reporting...
- Verify information recorded in two separate internal "tracking" databases...
- Perform all other job-related duties/tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of three years of experience, or an Associate degree from an accredited college or university with at least five years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, or a biomedical area.
Experience in preparation/review of biomedical proposals and administration of awarded programs including close-out.
Knowledge of the implementation of federal regulations governing research or related matters at a non-profit educational institution.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational, decision-making, multi-tasking, analytical and prioritization skills.
ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
Ability to manage various complex responsibilities in a time-constrained environment with poise, tact, and a customer-oriented focus.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; Monday - Friday (Work outside of normal business hours may be required).
Salary Minimum: $52,500 annually
Pay Band: B10
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position.
This position is funded through external sources. Continued employment is contingent upon the availability of these funds.
