As a Grants Officer (Pre-Award), you will provide guidance and administrative support for the University's research activities. This includes managing a portfolio of research grant services relating to the application, establishment, management, and reporting of research funds.

In this role you will:

  • Provide advice on research application queries and issues to researchers, staff, and senior management.
  • Show initiative and lateral thinking in performing responsibilities and activities to ensure continual improvement.
  • Be a principal contact and expert for matters relating to research grant application, funding opportunities, and administration.
  • Ensure the smooth administration of research applications with other key Division and College staff involved in research application development and submission.

This fixed term position is until March 2027, is full time, and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal land).

  5. Ability to make sound decisions within your sphere of responsibility and take responsibility for delivering to plan and on time.
  6. Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to participate in a team environment demonstrating clear oral and written communication, respecting their input, and working collaboratively.
