Grounds Worker
Randolph-Macon College invites applications for a full-time Grounds Worker for the maintenance of the campus grounds.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to safely operate hand tools/motorized equipment and lift/move materials in excess of 50 pounds.
- Under the direction of the supervisor or from work request, perform groundskeeper duties to include but not limited to mowing, edging, weed eating, spreading mulch, planting shrubs, pruning and weeding.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license with satisfactory motor vehicle record by insurance standards.
- Pesticide applicator license preferred or able to obtain within one year.
- Two years experience in commercial grounds maintenance preferred. Irrigation/sprinkler system experience desired.
Schedule
Monday – Friday / 7:30am-4:00pm. Seasonal overtime and some weekend work required.
