At James Cook University (JCU), we are committed to creating a brighter future for life in the Tropics. Join our Graduate Research School as a HDR Program Support Officer and play a key role in supporting Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students and academic supervisors.
What you’ll do:
As the HDR Program Support Officer, you will:
- Provide end-to-end administrative support for HDR candidature, including admissions, enrolments, milestones, and completions.
- Ensure compliance with university and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate milestone tracking and maintain accurate records.
- Support HDR-related committees and boards.
- Deliver high-quality customer service to HDR candidates and supervisors.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve HDR administrative processes.
What you’ll bring:
- Qualifications and/or experience relevant to HEWL 5 classification.
- Knowledge of HDR candidature management processes and university policy compliance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- High-level organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
- Experience in providing customer service and resolving complex enquiries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other administrative systems.
