About the Role:

Victoria University is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Admissions Officer to join our Student Services and Administration team. This role plays a vital part in delivering high-quality admissions services, supporting prospective students through their application journey, and providing accurate advice on course entry, credit (advanced standing), and pathways.

You will be responsible for assessing and processing applications, responding to student enquiries, and ensuring consistent, timely, and accurate advice in line with University policies and procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, student-centred environment and thrives on problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and process student applications, enquiries, and credit (advanced standing) requests.

Provide accurate, timely and professional advice on admissions, pathways, and credit matters.

Access and update student records using University systems including Student One, Oracle Service Cloud, VTAC, and credit application portals.

Prepare and analyse datasets from multiple sources to support operational and conversion activities.

Ensure quality, consistency, and compliance in advice and processing.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in policies, procedures, and service delivery.

Build effective working relationships across internal stakeholders and external applicants.

Salary: HEP 5 $79,135 - $90,899 per annum + 17% employer superannuation

Employment Type: Full time, Continuing

Hours: 36.75

Workplace Option: Hybrid

Location: Footscray

About You

You are a proactive and detail-oriented professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You enjoy working autonomously while also collaborating effectively within a team. You bring sound judgement, initiative, and a strong commitment to customer service.

The University is a Child Safe organisation. You will be required to hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or be willing to obtain one prior to commencing employment
