Why your role matters

Reporting to the Director of AGSM Executive Education, the Head of Product and Program Implementation provides senior leadership over the Navigator platform, product strategy, and learner success. The immediate priority is stabilising and optimising program implementation to ensure seamless transitions from contract to launch. By leading high-performing teams, this role champions the strategic reuse of learning assets and fosters a customer-centric culture that aligns delivery with evolving market needs.

This position requires a tech-savvy strategic thinker who can drive value-add efficiencies and innovation within the constraints of legacy systems. Beyond day-to-day management of three direct reports, the role is designed to elevate the unit’s strategic capability and scalability. The ideal leader will leverage technological advances to improve productivity and ensure deep integration across sales and operations, delivering high-quality, impactful learning experiences.

About the Role

You will be required to undertake and have experience in the following areas of expertise:

  • Prioritise the immediate stabilisation and optimisation of program implementation to ensure seamless transitions from contract handover to successful program launch.
  • Provide strategic leadership across the product portfolio and learner success, mentoring functional heads to build capability and align with long-term growth objectives.
  • Act as the business owner for the Navigator platform, leveraging tech advances and platform partnerships to drive functionality and modernise delivery within legacy constraints.
  • Champion the strategic reuse of learning assets and architectures to maximize operational efficiency, scalability, and return on investment.
  • Establish robust governance and consistent methodologies to ensure all programs are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on innovation and value-add efficiency, representing the unit externally to strengthen market credibility and industry relationships.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience in a senior leadership capacity, ideally within a large, multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Proven track record in program and project management, with a sharp focus on the immediate stabilization and delivery of complex corporate or institutional programs.
  • Advanced people leadership skills to drive cultural change, value-add efficiency, and innovative thinking while navigating the constraints of legacy systems.
  • Strong business acumen and technical literacy, including the ability to act as a functional owner for learning delivery platforms and support technological scalability.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate across diverse internal and external functions to ensure seamless contract-to-launch transitions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in governance, risk management, and process improvement to ensure all initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and to high-quality standards.
