Healthcare Data Analyst I (Hybrid)
Position Summary
The Healthcare Data Analyst I is a member of a collaborative project team responsible for delivering readily available, accurate, and actionable data to inform decision-making and support improved patient care and outcomes. This role provides data and analytical support across quality, patient, and financial domains, and assists in the research, development, and maintenance of reporting and analytical tools within the hospital's clinical and financial systems. The Healthcare Data Analyst I also provides analytical and technical guidance to internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the research, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of reporting and analytical tools related to clinical and/or financial systems.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative partners to ensure reports are timely, accurate, meaningful, and easy to interpret.
- Generate and deliver reports using a variety of internal and external data sources, including benchmarking databases (e.g., PHIS, PACT, and specialty-specific registries).
- Perform standardized data validation activities to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and quality of data prior to distribution.
- Assist in building and maintaining data repositories and databases to support departmental reporting and analytics needs.
- Support the definition of data specifications, collection procedures, and data integrity standards.
- Partner with team members to create effective data visualizations and dashboards.
- Assist in interpreting data and providing data-driven insights and recommendations to support operational and clinical decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience:
- No prior work experience required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience or coursework with data analytics tools
- Understanding of basic relational database concepts and SQL syntax
- Familiarity with data warehousing, business intelligence, and analytical concepts
- Ability to translate clinical or operational reporting needs into technical data solutions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
