Heat Exchanger Installation Effects Research Assistant

About the role
This part-time role will support a test programme to study how Heat Exchangers perform in distorted flow. You will run experiments on a facility in the Oxford Thermofluids Institute (OTI), managing the facility, instrumentation, data acquisition software, post-processing and interpretation of the results.

About you
You will be working towards a doctorate in the fields of aerodynamics and/or heat transfer, with a strong background in experimental research techniques. You will possess significant experience in specifying and installing instrumentation (e.g. pressure, temperature, flow rate, velocity), data acquisition hardware and software, and data post-processing. Experience of appropriately managing safety is essential. The role will also require you to analyse heat exchanger performance characteristics under different conditions, and to interface with the project industrial sponsor.
