The UAB Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology announces the opening of a new faculty position to bolster its Women's Reproductive Healthcare portfolio. Recruitment is for an open rank/open tenure earning faculty applicant with a M.D. or D.O. degree at all ranks. The primary focus of this position is to cover our Labor & Delivery unit. The faculty member may also be engaged in educating medical students, residents, and fellows within the department.

The selected candidate will work an expected schedule that consists of: Twelve, (13) hour shifts per month. Ideally nocturnal Labor & Delivery coverage but this is largely candidate specific.

The UAB Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology currently ranks as the 10th highest NIH-funded Ob/Gyn program and the institution as a whole is ranked 22nd. The Department is very committed to growing its current research, education, and implementation efforts in Maternal Fetal Medicine women's health. Required Qualifications:
The successful applicant will hold a M.D. or D.O., in Obstetrics and Gynecology or a closely comparable field.
