School of Medicine - Open Rank/Open Tenure - Obstetrics and Gynecology (Women's Reproductive Healthcare)
The UAB Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology announces the opening of a new faculty position to bolster its Women's Reproductive Healthcare portfolio. Recruitment is for an open rank/open tenure earning faculty applicant with a M.D. or D.O. degree at all ranks. The full scope faculty position is intended to provide clinical service in our clinics, inpatient areas, as well as provide surgical services to our patients. The FTE for this position may vary based on the candidate's availability and the current needs of the department at the time of hire between a 0.2 cFTE to a 1.00 cFTE. The UAB Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology currently ranks as the 10th highest NIH-funded Ob/Gyn program and the institution as a whole is ranked 22nd. The Department is very committed to growing its current research, education, and implementation efforts in Maternal Fetal Medicine women's health. The successful applicant will hold a M.D. or D.O., in Obstetrics and Gynecology; Osteopathic Medicine; Women's Health and/or Women's Education; Nursing; Public Health; or a closely comparable field.
