Human Services Counseling Program Support
Class Description
The purpose of this position is to provide professional level program support services to the Human Services Counseling program.
Minimum Requirements
Associates degree and three (3) years of clerical experience working in an office environment, preferably a business which is customer service oriented. Or a Bachelors degree and one year of identical experience. Experienced user of all Microsoft Office applications required and proficient with desktop publishing software preferred. Must be able to work occasional evening and weekend hours.
Class Specific Essential Duties
- Assist and provide information on the Human Services Counseling programs to current and prospective students, employers, external stakeholders, and the college community in person and on the telephone.
- Assist with special projects, meetings and/or special events.
- Create promotional materials, newsletters and fliers for various faculty/professional development activities.
- Serve as liaison between the Human Services Counseling program and other offices or organizations.
- Research, analyze and process data into college systems.
- Seek out and develop relationships with employers to understand local workforce needs to develop programming and place students in a variety of employment settings.
- Manage assigned components of Apprenticeship Sponsorships with existing and potential Apprenticeship employer partners and training customers.
- Create and maintain records and files for the Human Services Counseling programs.
- Compile reports, documents, forms and correspondence.
