Industry Connections Senior Specialist
Responsible for overall administration, job/employer development and organization of a sub-industry (STEM, Creative, Business, Government, Education, Human Services) that supports the Centers career communities and connections model. The primary core of these duties is the development, integration and direct delivery of consultation and programming initiatives that positively impact student career and professional success. Such initiatives include the continuous growth and scaling of on-going (recruitment/job focused) and new student experiential learning opportunities (externship/job shadowing, mentoring as well as development academies and college professional related fellowship programs). Responsible for supporting the growth and stewardship of industry and/or alumni related advisory boards that share the Centers vision for student career and professional success. Specifically provide leadership for and develop networks and resources that enhance other career communities (career coaches) staff members knowledge and expertise about employer and alumni needs and expectations. Work closely with career coaches to develop, implement, and evaluate services and programs and to monitor, track, and coordinate career coaches involvement with recruiting organizations. The position includes some travel, weekend and evening work, and the successful completion of background check(s) including professional references and criminal history.
Required:
Bachelors degree in higher education, student development, career counseling, human resources, industrial organizational psychology, business administrations or an appropriate field in Arts and Sciences. Four years of relevant experience. Experience building strong rapport with customers and leaders. Experience in program planning, administration, and evaluation of programs.
Desired:
Masters degree in higher education, student development, career counseling, human resources, industrial organizational psychology, business administration or an appropriate field in Arts and Sciences. Two years of experience in a college-level career success center with employer recruiting activity; knowledge of and experiences with implementing contemporary practices in industry outreach and engagement; superior knowledge of federal, state, and university regulations governing employment processes; successful track record of industry/alumni relations and/or engaging corporate sponsors for the benefit of successful student career outcomes; record of participation in regional or national professional associations; experience with Career Management System (Handshake); demonstrated record of presentation and platform skills to effectively influence and inform small and large groups.

The pay range for this job profile is $51,500 - $67,250. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
