Position Summary:
YU Global, an innovative educational technology startup at the forefront of transforming digital learning, seeks an exceptional Instructional Designer to drive our content development and learner experience. This is a pivotal role for an entrepreneurial, experienced designer who can create engaging educational content at a rapidly growing organization.
Role Context:
As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in developing YU Global's educational content, implementing design standards, and creating exceptional learner experiences. This is not a traditional corporate; rather, we're looking for someone who is passionate about transforming the online learning experience.
This role may be considered for a remote work arrangement.
Position Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will:
- Design and develop cutting-edge learning modules and interactive educational experiences
- Create comprehensive curriculum content using industry-leading authoring tools
- Develop engaging, multimedia-rich learning experiences across multiple digital platforms
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, technology teams, and academic leadership
- Design adaptive learning experiences that integrate advanced AI and interactive technologies
- Implement gamification strategies to enhance learner engagement and motivation
- Create interactive assessments, simulations, and scenario-based learning activities
- Contribute to quality assurance and content review to optimize learner experience across all content
- Contribute to scalable content development processes for multiple educational programs
- Support project management activities for content production initiatives
Experience & Educational Background:
Education and Experience Requirements:
- BA or MA degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in instructional design and digital learning development, preferably in a higher education and adult learning context
- Proven track record and portfolio of creating engaging, high-quality digital learning experiences, including gamified learning
- Experience with AI-integrated learning platforms preferred
Technical and Design Requirements:
- Expert proficiency in Articulate Rise and Storyline
- Experience with interactive learning software and authoring tools
- Experience with gamification tools and platforms for educational content
- Experience with ElevenLabs, HeyGen, and other AI authoring video tools
- Expertise in learning management systems, especially Canvas.
- Strong understanding of learning science, pedagogical strategies, and emerging educational technologies
- Experience with multimedia production tools (video, audio, graphics)
- Familiarity with HTML5, SCORM, and xAPI standards
