Instructor Elementary Education
Job Summary
Reporting to the department chair, the Non-Tenure Track Instructor of Elementary Education position requires a five-course workload in fall and spring semesters, with no research or service requirements. The position is an academic (10-month) non-tenure track appointment. The responsibilities of this position include supervision (practicums and clinical practice) at the undergraduate and graduate levels and teaching additional online and face-to-face courses in the department.
Required Qualifications
- Earned terminal degree (PhD or EdD) in Elementary Education, Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education by August 1, 2026.
- Minimum of three years of full-time teaching experience in U.S. public school settings, teaching students in grades P-5.
- Experience supervising pre-service teacher candidates and/or practicum students in P-5 field placements as a university or clinical supervisor (online/face-to-face).
- Ability and willingness to teach both online and face-to-face courses.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching face-to-face and online education courses at the university level.
