Instructor I in Cell and Molecular Biology

The Biology Department at Acadia University invites applications for a contractually limited Instructor I position from December 1, 2025, to April 30, 2026, for candidates with expertise in Cell and Molecular Biology.

We seek an excellent instructor passionate about teaching labs in cell and molecular biology with strong technical skills. A teaching background in an academic setting is an asset.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering labs for BIOL 2013 Cell and Molecular Biology (winter term), with five labs per week offered biweekly.
  • Teaching lectures for one section of Biology 1123: Organisms and their Environment 2, with three classes per week and associated evaluations.

The Department values individuals with broad knowledge of cell and molecular biology, experience in developing and delivering laboratory activities, and the ability to teach in person and online. Evidence of teaching experience includes positive endorsements from referees, a statement of teaching philosophy, course evaluations, or demonstrated performance in other teaching-related activities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum MSc in cell and molecular biology or a closely related field.
