Manage equipment, supplies and materials.
Assess student performance and advise students on academic
issues.
Collaborate with advisory committee in program area.
Attend departmental and institutional meetings.
Promote the education/training program, participate in efforts
to recruit and retain students, and participate in efforts to
market MATC.
Support student organizations and activities.
Develop relationships with business and industry.
Complete program evaluation and follow-up.
Maintain certification, continue professional development and
stay current in field.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must have one of the following:
1. Technical Diploma
or higher in Bricklaying and Masonry or related field with seven
(7) years (14,000 hours) of Bricklaying and Masonry work
experience
OR
2. Registered apprenticeship and Journey
level experience in Bricklaying and Masonry
Occupational Experience:
Must have a minimum of four years (8,000 hours) of work experience
in Bricklaying and Masonry. In addition, one of the following must
be met:
1) At least one year (1,000 hours) of work experience must have
occurred within the last five years
OR
2) Two years of teaching Bricklaying and Masonry
course work at the post- secondary level within the last five
years

instructional delivery systems including SMART symposium,
interactive touch screen monitors, LCD projectors, DVD players
and/or other classroom technology
- Emerging Technologies - Experience with emerging technologies
(e.g.. social networking applications)

Start Date
This position supports the Manufacturing, Construction, and
Transportation Pathway and is available to start in the Fall 2026
semester.
Hours
This position is a .5 FTE the number of hours
worked per week will vary based on course load. Work is conducted
in person during scheduled course hours, Monday - Friday

Salary: Beginning in the fall of 2024 the starting hourly
wage for all part-time faculty is $40 per course hour of teaching.
Part-time faculty are also compensated for an additional 45 minutes
of time for each hour of instruction to cover office hours and prep
time which is equivalent to $70 per hour. This starting hourly wage
of $40 an hour is non-negotiable unless market conditions dictate
otherwise.
