Manage equipment, supplies and materials.
Assess student performance and advise students on academic
issues.
Collaborate with advisory committee in program area.
Attend departmental and institutional meetings.
Promote the education/training program, participate in efforts
to recruit and retain students, and participate in efforts to
market MATC.
Support student organizations and activities.
Develop relationships with business and industry.
Complete program evaluation and follow-up.
Maintain certification, continue professional development and
stay current in field.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Minimum Education:
- Must have completed an apprenticeship in Sheet Metal or
Environmental Service Technician; OR
- Have a signed letter, on official letterhead, from local 18
Sheet Metal JATC approving your potential appointment.
Required Occupational Experience:
- Must have five (5) years (10,000 hours) of work experience as
an apprentice or Journey worker (or both) in Sheet
Metal/Construction OR Environmental Service
Technician.
- In addition, one of the following must be met
- At least one year of work experience must have occurred within
the last five years OR
- Two years of teaching Sheet Metal or Environmental Service
Technician course work at the post-secondary level within the last
five years (1 year of teaching experience equivalent to 2 semesters
full-time, or 4 semester part-time).
- Must hold approval to teach from an appropriate apprenticeship
advisory committee.
- Must hold Journey-Level status in Sheet Metal/Construction or
Journey level status in Environmental Service or have a
signed letter, on official letterhead, from local 18 Sheet Metal
JATC approving your potential appointment.

interactive touch screen monitors, LCD projectors, DVD players
and/or other classroom technology

Supplemental Information
Start Date:
This position supports the Manufacturing, Construction, and
Transportation Pathway and is available to start in the Fall 2026
semester.
Hours:
T his
position is up to a .5 FTE and the number of hours, shift worked
per week, and modality are based on enrollment and departmental
need. Location is at the Oak Creek Campus.
Salary:
Beginning in the fall of 2024 the starting
hourly wage for all part-time faculty is $40 per course hour of
teaching. Part-time faculty are also compensated for an additional
45 minutes of time for each hour of instruction to cover office
hours and prep time which is equivalent to $70 per hour. This
starting hourly wage of $40 an hour is non-negotiable unless market
conditions dictate otherwise.
