Job Summary:

This is an opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to see chronic kidney disease and dialysis patients in an outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The APP will be responsible for the evaluation and management of patients with chronic kidney disease requiring hemodialysis and work with physicians in determining best management.
  • Oversee management of patients on maintenance hemodialysis.
  • Perform history and physical examinations
  • Review diagnostic testing,
  • Check medication dosages and adjusting medications,
  • Check laboratory values
  • General assessment and provide educational guidance to patients with advanced chronic kidney disease and requiring hemodialysis

Work Location:

Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

*Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.*

  • Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with National Board Certification and Colorado state license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Experienced in chronic dialysis

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

To be successful in this position, candidates will need the following skills:

  • Knowledge base in renal pathophysiology required to provide care in patients with chronic kidney disease
  • Proficient in managing patients with cardiac and kidney disease

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (*or hiring range*) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$105,185 - $116,000

The above salary range (*or hiring range*) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
