Job Description

Western Governors University is seeking a full-time Instructor for Planning Instructional Strategies for Meaningful Learning, Instructional Technology, and Online Pedagogy. This role involves developing instructional materials, providing virtual events, and supporting student learning in a remote environment.

Job Duties

• Develops instructional materials aligned with learning objectives and course competencies.
• Provides effective one-to-many virtual events.
• Continually develops knowledge through faculty learning communities.
• Offers one-to-one virtual instruction to students.
• Facilitates student communities for peer collaboration.
• Provides student-centered coaching for academic and career goals.
• Adapts practices to student needs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Doctorate Degree in Education or related field.
• Three years of recent K-12 classroom teaching experience.
• Three years of experience in curriculum development.
• Strong knowledge of state and technology standards.
• Commitment to inclusive learning environments.
• Enthusiasm for professional growth.

Preferred Qualifications

• Higher education teaching or mentoring experience.
• Experience teaching across multiple grade levels.
• Understanding of educational program requirements.
• Ability to support student reflection and goal-setting.

Work Schedule

Tuesday-Saturday, 40 hours per week, with 10 hours during evening and/or weekend hours.

Travel Requirements

Primarily remote within the continental United States, with occasional travel for meetings or events.

Salary

Salary range: $71,300.00 - $107,000.00.
