Job Summary/Basic Function
Theatre and Dance areas within The School of Fine and Performing Arts, is seeking a dynamic professional to join our collaborative faculty, staff, and student community. Our vibrant conservatory-style training program is designed for students dedicated to developing the technical excellence, artistry, and professional discipline required for careers in dance.
We are seeking a colleague who can teach ballet technique and related courses (e.g., pointe, variations, partnering, and ballet repertoire), with opportunities for individualized specialization aligned with the instructor's expertise. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in current pedagogical approaches and industry trends, and maintain meaningful connections within the professional national and regional dance community.

Minimum Qualifications
BFA or its equivalent anticipated by the start.
Preferred Qualifications
At least two years of teaching experience at a university/conservatory and a demonstrated record of professional achievements.
Essential Functions and percent of time
- 65% - Teaching classes (ballet technique and related courses appropriate to level and program needs)
- 10% - Supervising and mentoring students in rehearsals, performances, and individual coaching
- 15% - Coordinating Dance Adjuncts
- 10% - Service to the department, college, and university
