Here, you can be great.Your opportunityThe International Student Advisor plays a key role in a cross-campus team dedicated to promoting international student satisfaction, retention and legislative compliance. You will liaise with education partners, sponsors and government agencies while providing expert advice to students and ensuring alignment with University policy and the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000.You will make an impact by:
- Providing tailored advice and referral support across academic, pastoral and visa compliance matters
- Monitoring student outcomes and coordinating intervention strategies for at-risk students
- Delivering orientation, transition and engagement programs to enhance student experience
- Supporting crisis response and critical incident management when required
What you will bringYou are a culturally capable, student-centred advisor who understands the complexity of supporting international cohorts within a regulated higher education environment.To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification and at least two years’ experience supporting international tertiary students (or equivalent experience)
- Knowledge of Australian legislation relating to international students, including ESOS requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Demonstrated computing skills across word processing, spreadsheets and database systems

- Located at Lismore, NSW 2480. Relocation assistance is available, making it easier to join our regional communities.
- HEW Level 5. The base salary ranges from $83,563 - $92,857 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $108,643.
