HireIT interacts daily with clients who have different levels of technical expertise and provides them with top-tier support and consulting. The Endpoint Manager leads the strategy, governance, and daily operations of endpoint management, security, and patching across HireIT clients' endpoint fleet, including Windows and macOS devices. This role combines people leadership, technical expertise, and cross‑campus coordination to ensure secure, reliable, and compliant end‑user computing services. The manager serves as a subject matter expert, directs a team of endpoint specialists, and partners closely with the Office of Information Security, HireIT Desktop Support, and distributed IT units.
Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the endpoint management team, overseeing OS and application updates, software packaging, deployment, troubleshooting and ticket queue management and serving as a Tier 3 escalation point for complex issues.
- Own the endpoint patching lifecycle, including strategy, governance, testing procedures, documentation, and maintenance windows.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and endpoint management to improve service delivery, security posture, automation, and for professional development.
- Provide strategic planning and guidance for stakeholders, including development and maintenance of a technology roadmap for HireIT and its clients.
- Collaborate with the Office of Information Security to prioritize vulnerabilities, approve patching exceptions, define compensating controls, and drive remediation efforts.
- Publish patch compliance metrics, risk summaries, and operational reporting for leadership.
- Manage projects involving clients, vendors, and university IT partners; participate in campus‑wide project teams, task forces, and user groups.
- Mentor and develop staff, contributing to team growth, documentation, knowledge base content, and client communications.
- Drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and endpoint hygiene through process rigor and performance monitoring.
- Occasional coverage for evenings, weekends, and recognized University holidays may be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity and 4 to 6 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
- At least 4-6+ years of experience in endpoint management, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Prior management experience with demonstrated success leading and developing technical teams, managing operational performance, and providing strategic direction in an enterprise IT environment.
- Strong experience with endpoint management, patching, security, and virtual platforms including BigFix, Jamf, MECM/SCCM, CrowdStrike, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), or equivalent
- Knowledge of Windows and macOS update mechanisms and software deployment practices
- Experience with automation and packaging tools
- Excellent communication, project management, and cross‑team collaboration skills
Preferred:
- Experience in higher education or similarly complex, distributed environments
- Experience with reporting, dashboards, or analytics tools
- Familiarity with zero‑touch provisioning technologies.

$100,000.00 - $120,000.00 Annual Rate
