Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering HR solutions that support business needs and objectives of both assigned client groups and HR office in partnership with HRBPs, including change management, employee engagement, workforce planning and organizational development initiatives.
- Consult with both academic and administrative management in assigned areas, providing employee relations guidance when appropriate.
- In consultation with department leaders and HR Liaisons, provide expert guidance for critical performance and disciplinary concerns.
- Conduct investigations into areas of misconduct, policy violation and inappropriate practices.
- Supports the administration of the University's collective bargaining agreements and assists in handling grievances.
- Serve as the principal case manager for employees out on leave and communicate status updates.
- Provide support to the Improving with You (IWY) Data Analyst with the collection of exit and stay information.
- Provide necessary administrative assistance to the employee and labor relations office.
- Maintain records management systems and personnel files.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Communication, Compliance, Cultural Understanding, Customer Service, Decision-Making and Judgment, Human Resource Knowledge/Expertise, Organizational Skills/Project Management, Technology.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field; or equivalent demonstrated work experience. 1-3 years of experience in HR or related roles.
Working Conditions:
Office environment with occasional travel. Hybrid work option available. Prolonged periods of working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
