Learning Assistant I: Library/Learning Commons
Position Summary: The Learning Assistant I provides assistance to students, faculty, and the public in the Learning Commons and Library. Support services include technology support, monitoring the Learning Commons desk, and assisting with all Learning Commons, Learning Center, and Library processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide support/assistance/tutoring to students in a small group or 1-1 format, as directed by the faculty member or lab/learning center supervisor.
- Ready and monitor the classroom/lab/learning center, and interpret needed protocols for students.
- Encourage communication between student and instructor; refer students to other appropriate services on campus, as needed.
- Assist with Library and Learning Center processes, as directed.
- Provide equipment/technical/software support to students using computers for academic assignments or testing.
- Perform record-keeping tasks as directed.
- Help update relevant Library/Learning Center materials.
Salary: $15.45 - $17.00 hourly
