Job Description Summary
The Director for Graduate and Transfer Admissions is a key leadership position responsible for developing and executing strategies to attract, recruit, and enroll Graduate and Transfer students at Nazareth University. This unique cross-departmental role requires a dynamic and innovative leader who can drive the university’s enrollment goals and enhance the overall admission experience for prospective students. The Director for Graduate and Transfer Admissions oversees graduate and transfer students’ recruitment, admission, and enrollment. This role involves strategic planning, managing recruitment efforts, enhancing the admissions process, and collaborating with various university departments to ensure prospective students’ smooth and
effective admissions experience. The Director will report directly to the Associate Vice President of
University Admissions and Enrollment and will be responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining programs and initiatives that support and advance transfer and graduate programs. The Director will be responsible for supervising the graduate and transfer team.
A flexible work schedule that includes days, evenings, and some weekends is required. Travel, a valid driver’s license, and access to a vehicle are also required.
Essential Functions
Strategic Planning and Implementation:
Develop and implement an annual strategic recruitment plan to attract and enroll a diverse group of graduate and transfer students.
Lead both the graduate and transfer teams in executing recruitment strategies and achieving enrollment goals.
Actively develop long-term plans to manage the increased applications for graduate admission through leveraging technology to provide a customer service experience for students.
Supervise the collection and organization of accurate data regarding the new student enrollment process for graduate students.
Provide necessary data for the academic colleges and program directors to aid in the decision process; Communicate relevant enrollment updates to the deans clearly and concisely.
Actively participate in the enrollment management leadership team.
Collaboration and Coordination with Campus Partners:
Work closely with faculty, academic departments, and administrative offices to coordinate recruitment and admissions efforts.
Collaborate with the financial aid office to provide prospective students with information on funding options.
Create strong collaborative relationships with academic deans, program directors, graduate studies, and enrollment management colleagues.
Implement standard, consistent, and timely communication methods with all stakeholders.
Manage steering groups, task forces, etc., to develop solutions to business process and customer service challenges.
Serve on various university, division, and departmental committees; represent the department at various state and national associations.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Prepare reports on recruitment, admissions, and enrollment metrics for senior leadership.
Develop admissions reports and interpret data to inform decision-making; Analyze data and trends to refine procedures, policies, and practice.
The ability to streamline the transfer credit evaluation process and increase transfer enrollment will be considered key performance indicators of success.
Recruitment:
Work with the AVP of University Admissions and Enrollment on developing joint agreements with other 2-year or 4-year colleges.
Be the point of contact for all teach-out agreements.
Serve as a liaison to faculty, other campus staff, and representatives of the university on transfer student focus programs.
Create and strengthen relationships with community college advisors and the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) honor society to increase the top of the funnel for transfer students.
As a member of the enrollment management team, they will participate in the daily operations of the admissions office, application review, and recruitment and yield events, including but not limited to open houses and admitted student days; develop and lead an extraordinary transfer recruitment team.
Assist in planning and organizing transfer and graduate events.
Required Education, Experience, Technology Applications and Skills
A Bachelor’s Degree is required
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in college admissions or a related field, with demonstrated success in leadership and management roles.
Strong strategic planning and analytical abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in admissions software and CRM systems (Slate preferred).
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Ability to successfully manage interpersonal working relationships. As appropriate, collaborate with staff in other units and divisions to achieve the goals of the University.

Supervisory Responsibilities
They will supervise the associate director for graduate and transfer counselor positions.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting, extensive computer use, and occasional lifting or moving of light objects
Equipment to be used
Computer/Laptop: High-performance computer or laptop for daily administrative tasks, data analysis, and virtual meetings.
Monitors: Dual monitors for multitasking and increased productivity.
Printer/Scanner: For printing, scanning, and copying documents.
Data Management and Analysis Tools
CRM Software: Customer Relationship Management software Slate is used to manage student applications and communications.
