Lecturer
Position Summary
The College of Engineering at the University of Georgia invites applications for an academic-appointment (9-month) non-tenure-track Lecturer position within the School of Environmental, Civil, Agricultural and Mechanical Engineering (ECAM) beginning August 10, 2026. This position will be supervised by the School Chair of ECAM, a position currently held by Dr. Ben Davis.
The School of ECAM is responsible for administering four undergraduate degree programs, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering and Environmental Engineering, as well as two graduate programs at the M.S and Ph.D. levels. With an effort of 100% instruction, this position is expected to teach 12 credit hours per semester in topic areas that support the undergraduate students within the school.
Areas of particular teaching need include both lecture and laboratory instruction in core engineering sciences courses (e.g., Engineering Graphics Computational Engineering Methods, Engineering Decision Making, Statics). Position responsibilities include effective classroom teaching of undergraduate courses, mentoring undergraduate engineering students, and working with other faculty on innovative teaching methods within the College’s rapidly-growing instructional programs.
