Lecturer Behavioral Scientist (GW) in Eindhoven
Job Summary
As a behavioral scientist, preferably a BIG-registered psychologist, you will guide and provide education to doctors in training to become general practitioners (Aios-H) during their second year, focusing on clinical stages in hospitals, nursing homes, or mental health care. You will develop and deliver weekly education sessions in Eindhoven, working closely with a general practitioner supervisor to support the learning process of trainees and their supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Deliver education to Aios-H and general practitioner supervisors, integrating national training plans and evidence-based content.
- Prepare and conduct educational sessions, creating a strong learning environment with various teaching methods.
- Coach and assess trainees and supervisors on individual, pair, and group levels, including supervision and intervision.
- Guide and evaluate practical assignments, monitor progress through e-portfolios, and identify developmental issues.
- Advise on trainee progression and supervisor development, visit training practices, and participate in internal evaluations and working groups.
- Develop educational programs, materials, and assignments based on competency profiles and national standards.
- Contribute to organizational functions by participating in professional development, meetings, and committees.
Qualifications and Requirements
- You are preferably a BIG-registered psychologist.
- You have at least three years of experience as a therapist in mental health care, hospital, or primary care settings.
- You are preferably still working 1.5 days per week in a treatment practice.
- You have experience or affinity with providing education to health professionals.
- You possess excellent coaching and collaboration skills, and are independent, structured, involved, and enthusiastic about building a strong learning environment.
What the Employer Offers
- A position at Maastricht University, scaled in level 12 with a salary between €5495 and €7056 gross per month based on full-time employment (38 hours per week), plus 8.0% holiday allowance and 8.3% end-of-year bonus.
