Job Summary:

This posting will establish and maintain a pool of part-time lecturers with experience teaching Geography and Environmental Science courses for the Department of Geography & Environmental Sciences in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Colorado Denver. By submitting your application, you will become part of an applicant pool. Candidates hired from this pool will fill temporary, non-tenure track positions and will teach no more than two courses per semester. Appointments will be part-time (less than 50%) and will be made semester-by-semester, depending on the needs of the department and subject to budgetary approval.

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters degree in Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field from an accredited university

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous teaching experience.
• PhD in Geography, Environmental Science, or related field.

Conditions of Employment:

• Occasional work during the evening and/or weekends may be required.
• This position follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely or from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration.

Mental, Physical, and/or Environmental Requirements:

The ability to sit for extended periods... The ability to walk between buildings on campus to teach courses.

Compensation and Benefits:
