Position Overview

The Department of Accounting and Management Information Systems at The Ohio State Universitys Max M. Fisher College of Business invites application for a full-time Lecturer. We seek candidates with expertise in taxation, financial accounting, managerial accounting, auditing, and/or management information systems. A strong preference will be given to candidates with the ability to teach a broad spectrum of taxation courses across both undergraduate and graduate levels. The appointment is expected to begin in Autumn 2026.

The main tasks will include: teaching in different modalities (in-class, online, hybrid) throughout the academic year, curriculum/syllabus design, content and materials development, and service activities. The selected candidate(s) will be expected to complete activities and support for developing and teaching undergraduate and/or graduate students, depending on chosen candidates degree certification.

All courses are taught in person on the Universitys main campus in Columbus, Ohio.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Masters degree in accounting or a related field of study
• Demonstrated teaching experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively engage with students in both traditional and online learning environments.
• Ability to collaborate with fellow instructors, graduate teaching associates, and undergraduate teaching assistants.

Desired Qualifications

Experience teaching taxation and/or related accounting courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.
