The Boston University Wheelock College of Education and Human Development invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Counseling in the Ed.M. program in the department of Counseling Psychology & Applied Human Development (CPAHD). We seek candidates with a background in educating counseling students, who have a thorough understanding of the training and supervision of counselors (e.g., mental health counselors, school counselors, counseling psychologists) and experience in providing behavioral health treatments and interventions from an integrated approach. An ideal candidate will be able to effectively teach Ed.M. counseling students, serve as the practica/internship coordinator for the program, and be an engaged member of the CPAHD department.

We train future counselors in three different tracks (Child & Adolescent Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling, and Sports Psychology), and typically admit about 50 students each year. The Department of Counseling Psychology and Applied Human Development, in which this program is housed, is a collaborative community of faculty and students who have a strong social justice orientation, and thus we are seeking a faculty member who shares this orientation. An ideal candidate would have experience in providing evidence-based behavioral health treatments and interventions while prioritizing the diverse lived experiences of clients.
