The School of Business and Creative Industries (SBCI)

School of Business and Creative Industries: Ready to make an impact in a dynamic world?

Are you driven to make a difference in a constantly evolving world? We invite passionate educators and industry experts to join our inspiring team within the School of Business and Creative Industries (SBCI). Our mission is “educating to make a difference”, empowering students with innovative and sustainable practices to tackle global challenges head-on. With strong industry partnerships and a focus on practical experience, you'll play a key role in preparing future leaders and practitioners for exciting careers.

The Opportunity

In this education-focused role, you will lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of Work Integrated Learning (WIL) across undergraduate and postgraduate Business and Commerce programs. You will develop and deliver a range of WIL models, including industry placements, project-based and capstone courses, simulated and online experiences, and student mobility initiatives. Your focus will be on creating authentic, high-impact learning experiences that are academically rigorous, scalable, and aligned with contemporary professional practice.

Working collaboratively with academic colleagues, industry partners, and UniSC’s centralised WIL team, you will build and sustain strong partnerships to expand student opportunities across the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, and broader regions. You will contribute to the development of inclusive and innovative WIL models, engage stakeholders in co-creating real-world learning experiences, and support interdisciplinary approaches that enhance student employability and reflect evolving industry needs.

You will:

  • deliver high-quality, student-centred teaching through innovative curriculum design, contemporary learning practices, effective assessment, and meaningful student engagement across diverse learning environments including both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching;
  • contribute to the University’s research profile by developing expertise, undertaking impactful research, collaborating with research teams, publishing outcomes, and supporting research partnerships and higher degree research supervision;
  • build and maintain strong regional, national, and international partnerships that connect academic expertise with industry, community, and professional practice to deliver meaningful external engagement outcomes; and
  • contribute to the University’s strategic priorities through active participation in service, leadership, governance, and collaborative initiatives that support teaching, research, and broader institutional objectives.
